Four key points to note when introducing pet rabbits

Livestock Farming 0 views
As the pet rabbit market grows increasingly prosperous, more and more people are introducing pet rabbits, but all kinds of problems have emerged along with this. Some people spend a lot of money to buy so-called pet rabbit breeding stock, only to find that when the breeding season arrives, the rabbits do not come into heat; after inquiring carefully, they learn that the rabbits have been sterilized and simply cannot reproduce, wasting more than half a year for nothing. Some people buy rabbits that cannot survive at all, because no breeding techniques were provided, so they just feed them like ordinary rabbits; the result is that a sudden change in living conditions, combined with an abrupt switch in feed, causes the young rabbits to fall ill and die one by one.

For those that are kept alive through untold hardships, the bloodline turns out to be wrong: breeding rabbits bought for five or six hundred yuan become crossbred rabbits once they mature; lop-eared rabbits are no longer lop-eared; dwarf rabbits grow to six or seven jin; coat color and pattern all fade and change. Ah, it turns out they had no ID! There are far too many cases like this.

For this reason, I am offering the following points to pet rabbit breeders for reference:

First: Be sure to select breeding stock from a legitimate farm, and check whether they carry out vaccinations on schedule.

Second: Check whether this farm provides after-sales service, that is, whether they still provide corresponding technical guidance after the breeding rabbits are purchased.

Third: Check whether they provide adaptation feed for the breeding rabbits, that is, when purchasing breeding rabbits, they should give a portion of transition feed to prevent the young rabbits from suffering from unfamiliar climate and water, which can lower their immunity and cause unnecessary losses.

Fourth: This is also the most important point, namely the breeding rabbit's ID, which includes the rabbit's birth time, birthplace, the young rabbit's bloodline and place of origin, as well as body weight, height and so on.
