Two clinical disease types of Bordetella infection in rabbits are commonly seen: 1. Rhinitis type: in most cases the nasal mucosa is congested, with a large amount of serous or mucous discharge flowing out, which usually does not become purulent. 2. Bronchopneumonia type: characterized by rhinitis that does not heal for a long time, mucous or purulent discharge from the nasal cavity, sneezing, accelerated breathing, loss of appetite, and gradual emaciation; the course of the disease can last for several months. Treatment When this disease occurs, sick rabbits should be isolated promptly, and the following drugs should be selected for treatment. Kanamycin, per rabbit

Two clinical disease types of Bordetella infection in rabbits are commonly seen:

Kanamycin, 0.2-0.4 g per rabbit per dose, intramuscular injection, twice daily. Tetracycline, 40 mg per kg of body weight, intramuscular injection, twice daily. Chloramphenicol, 50-100 mg per rabbit per dose, intramuscular injection, twice per dose. Gentamicin, intramuscular injection, 2 mg per kg of body weight, twice daily. Streptomycin, intramuscular injection, 25 mg per kg of body weight, twice daily. Phthalylsulfathiazole, 0.2-0.3 g per kg of body weight, oral administration, twice per dose. Those with no treatment effect should be culled promptly, and rabbit cages, rabbit houses and exercise areas should be thoroughly disinfected.
