When waste fish scales pile up too much, they give off a foul smell, and dumping them into the sea pollutes the environment. The public has strong opinions about this, so they can only hire people to move them to remote places. A woman in Chishiwan Village who suffered from this problem heard that fish scales are a high-quality fertilizer for fruit trees such as lychee and citrus, and can be developed and utilized. So she organized 5 villagers and went around buying fish scales, processing them into fish scale fertilizer. Fruit growers in Guangdong were the first to buy more than 30 tons of fish scale fertilizer. After application, the results were very good: the fruit trees grew vigorously, with lush branches and leaves and a high fruit-setting rate, so they immediately ordered another 50 tons from them. By the end of October this year, they had processed more than 180 tons of fish scale fertilizer in total, which sold well continuously, and at the same time increased their income by more than 30,000 yuan.

Currently, fruit growers in both Fujian and Guangdong provinces are coming one after another to order fish scale fertilizer from her.
