A Detailed Guide to Making Jasmine Tea at Home
Some people grow jasmine at home and can use the following simple method to make jasmine tea themselves. Made at home and drunk at home, it has a flavor all its own.
First, put the tea leaves (generally the finest green tea is chosen) in a container and heat them slowly over a fire until the tea leaves feel hot to the touch, then let them cool and place them in a box for later use. Be careful not to overheat them and scorch them.
Pick jasmine flowers that are at the peak of releasing their fragrance and put them in the box (about 10 to 20 flowers are needed for 50 grams of tea leaves), mix them evenly with the tea leaves, and do not put the lid on, so that the jasmine flowers naturally release their fragrance and the tea leaves absorb it. After about one full day, pick the flowers out of the tea leaves, then heat the tea leaves over a fire to remove moisture, and once they have cooled they become jasmine tea. The dried jasmine flowers may also be left in the tea leaves. If you want the tea leaves to have a stronger fragrance, the above process can be repeated several times.
