What are the methods for controlling pests and diseases of jasmine?
1. Diseases
① Brown spot: promptly prune away diseased leaves and diseased branches, and spray the foliage with 80% zineb wettable powder at 500-700 times dilution, or 80% mancozeb wettable powder at 400-600 times dilution, spraying once every 10-15 days, for 3-5 consecutive sprays. When spraying, the front and back of the leaves should be evenly covered.
② Southern blight: in the early stage of the disease, spray the base of the plant and the surrounding soil with 50% amobam aqueous solution at 1000 times dilution, and after 7-10 days, spray once more. After that, use 70% thiophanate wettable powder at 1000 times dilution, or 50% carbendazim wettable powder at 1000 times dilution, or Lvheng No. 1 at 3000 times dilution; or Lvheng No. 2 at 800 times dilution to drench the soil around the roots, so as to inhibit the spread of the disease. After pulling out severely diseased plants, use 50% amobam aqueous solution at 500 times dilution to drench the planting holes, or sprinkle lime powder into the diseased holes to disinfect the soil. For potted plants, the soil can be changed promptly; spray the growing medium (potting soil) and the plant with Lvheng No. 1 at 3000 times dilution for disinfection, and after potting, change the placement site, keeping the potted plants in a sunny, well-ventilated place for care.
③ Anthracnose: promptly remove and destroy diseased leaves and diseased shoot tips, and spray the foliage with 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder at 800-1000 times dilution, 12% copper octanoate emulsifiable concentrate at 600-800 times dilution, 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder at 1000 times dilution, 60% anthracnose-formaldehyde wettable powder at 800 times dilution, etc., choosing one or alternating two or more of them, spraying once every 5-7 days, and spraying 4-6 consecutive times depending on the severity of the disease.
2. Insect pests
① Leaf roller: in the early stage of larval occurrence, spray to kill with 80% dichlorvos emulsifiable concentrate at 1500-2000 times dilution, or with 90% trichlorfon at 1000 times dilution.
② Red spider mite: use 5% hexythiazox emulsifiable concentrate at 3000 times dilution, 40% omethoate emulsifiable concentrate at 1500-2000 times dilution, 73% propargite emulsifiable concentrate at 2000 times dilution, etc., spraying in the early stage of occurrence, alternating two or more agents, spraying once about every 5 days, for 2-3 consecutive sprays.
③ Aphids: spray to kill with 50% pirimicarb (Pirimor) wettable powder at 3000 times dilution, or with 25% imidacloprid wettable powder at 10000-20000 times dilution.
④ Scale insects: they can be removed by manual brushing, or sprayed to kill with neutral laundry detergent diluted 150 times with water, or 20% Bijie ultra-fine wettable powder at 1000-1500 times dilution.
