Hydrangea, also known as florist's hydrangea, has many flowers, large blooms, bright colors, a long flowering period, and high ornamental value. Hydrangea can grow normally and bloom smoothly in fertile, well-drained acidic soil. Therefore, when caring for hydrangea, you must master the fertilizer and water management tips well: in early spring each year, combine repotting with improving the potting soil to prevent the soil from compacting and becoming alkaline. When repotting, remove about two-thirds of the old potting soil, use 5 parts leaf mold, 4 parts fully decomposed pond mud, 1 part clean fine river sand, mix in 15-20 grams of ferrous sulfate, stir thoroughly and evenly, then prepare

Hydrangea, also known as florist's hydrangea, has many flowers, large blooms, bright colors, a long flowering period, and high ornamental value. Hydrangea can grow normally and bloom smoothly in fertile, well-drained acidic soil. Therefore, when caring for hydrangea, you must master the fertilizer and water management tips well:

In early spring each year, combine repotting with improving the potting soil to prevent the soil from compacting and becoming alkaline. When repotting, remove about two-thirds of the old potting soil, use 5 parts leaf mold, 4 parts fully decomposed pond mud, 1 part clean fine river sand, mix in 15-20 grams of ferrous sulfate, stir thoroughly and evenly, and prepare a loose, fertile, acidic new nutrient soil. Fill it back into the pot, and the hydrangea will quickly grow well-developed new roots and lush new leaves. During the growth period of hydrangea, fertilizer must be applied once every 15-20 days. Each time, apply 25-30 grams of fully decomposed and deodorized peanut cake fertilizer or rapeseed cake fertilizer per pot, 10-15 grams of monopotassium phosphate or high-efficiency biological phosphorus-potassium fertilizer, and 5-10 grams of ferrous sulfate, mix with 1.5-2 kg of clean water or fully decomposed and deodorized human and livestock manure water, then pour it on. Before each fertilization, the potting soil should be shallowly cultivated about 5-6 cm so that the surface of the potting soil is loose, which helps the fertilizer solution seep in and improves the fertilization effect.

Hydrangea has lush stems and leaves, large leaves, high water evaporation, and a high water requirement. Only with sufficient water supply can it grow normally and bloom smoothly. Except in winter when temperatures are low and water must be strictly controlled, the potting soil should be kept moist in all three seasons of spring, summer, and autumn. Generally, clean water should be poured at the roots once every 2-3 days, about 2-3 kg per pot each time, so that the water can quickly penetrate into the potting soil and not accumulate at the rim of the pot. In addition, during periods of high temperature, drought, and strong sunlight in summer and autumn, clean water must also be sprayed on the leaves once in the morning and once in the evening each day, evenly moistening all the leaves, until water droplets begin to drip down. This keeps the leaves moist and washes away the mud and dust clinging to the leaves, keeping them fresh, tender, green, and glossy.
