How to Treat Blood in Rabbit Urine? Detailed Practical Methods
Note: This method is for administering traditional Chinese medicine.
The feeding method is as follows:
1. Prepare the medicine and draw it into a syringe.
2. Sit on the floor first, bend your knees, so that your thighs and abdomen form an 80° angle.
3. Place the rabbit on its back on your thighs (since your legs are at an 80° angle, there is no need to worry about the rabbit sliding down). Try to keep it calm.
4. Use your hand to support its chin and push it back slightly, which makes it easier for it to swallow the medicine. Pinch its neck (of course, we are not trying to choke it, so be gentle, just a slight bit of pressure is OK).
5. Insert the syringe from the side of the mouth (because there are front teeth right at the front of the mouth, so it cannot be inserted there, but there are no teeth on the side).
6. Finally, push the medicine in. Do not push too fast; push slowly. If you push too fast, it will choke. If it holds the medicine in its mouth without swallowing, put it down first, and once you see it swallow, repeat the above steps. Usually it starts to show results within a week.
The prescription is as follows:
Lalang grass rhizome (Imperata cylindrica) 10G, Tetrapanax papyriferus pith 6G, Cirsium setosum 6G, Dianthus superbus 6G, Polygonum aviculare 6G, Lobelia chinensis 6G, Pyrrosia lingua 6G, Licorice root 2G
One dose can last a long time, but if kept too long the potency will change, so it is best to use it for just one week. Because this is the amount specially prepared by the doctor for the rabbit, the dosage is very small and suitable for small animals. Give 5ML at a time, 3 times a day. Taking it before meals gives better results.
Pour the medicine into a pot, boil 3 bowls of water down to 1 bowl. It takes about one hour. Bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat. Let it cool, and then it is ready to feed.
