Lily varieties can be planted in soil with a pH value between 5.2-7.8. If the soil is too acidic, apply 50 kg of lime powder per mu before plowing; if too alkaline, use 50 kg of gypsum powder. For clay soil, form ridges after planting; for sandy soil, flat planting in beds is sufficient.

II. Base Fertilizer: If not for organic production, the following medicinal fertilizers can be referenced.

Pre-plowing fertilization:

Formula 1: 50 kg ammonium bicarbonate, 50 kg superphosphate, and 15 kg 50% potassium sulfate: (When spreading fertilizer, spread ammonium bicarbonate separately, then mix superphosphate and potassium sulfate evenly before spreading).

Formula 2: 50 kg ammonium bicarbonate and 50 kg of 45% (N15, P15, K15) potassium sulfate compound fertilizer.

Formula 3: 50 kg ammonium bicarbonate, 50 kg diammonium phosphate, and 20 kg 50% potassium sulfate. Choose one of the above three formulas based on your economic situation. Before plowing, apply phoxim or other pesticides for controlling underground pests per mu, spread evenly, then plow. If conditions permit, apply an appropriate amount of decomposed organic fertilizer mixed evenly with phoxim granules and spread, then harrow level after plowing.

III. Seed Selection

Sort the seeds into grades one, two, and three by size. After selecting, soak in 600-fold carbendazim solution for 10 minutes, then air-dry before use (must be air-dried).

IV. Planting

Planting can be done from August each year to April of the following year (before June 1 in Northeast and Northwest regions). 1. Ridge planting: with a large row spacing of 50-60 cm and a small row spacing of 15-20 cm, open furrows about 8 cm deep. After opening furrows, plant at spacing: grade one seeds 14-16 cm, grade two seeds 10-12 cm, grade three seeds 6-8 cm. Under forest: 16000-22000 plants per mu; open field: 22000-26000 plants per mu. (Larger ones sparser, smaller ones denser.) After dibbling, you can apply decomposed and fermented soybeans mixed with superphosphate at 50 kg per mu between the seed bulbs, (or skip this, or dibble compound fertilizer or thoroughly decomposed soybean cake, cottonseed cake, rapeseed cake, etc. into the spaces between seeds). Then cover with soil 6-8 cm (deeper for larger bulbs, shallower for smaller ones). After completing, if the soil is not moist, water along the furrows. After the soil is no longer sticky, while still moist, spray herbicide pendimethalin (Stomp) at 150 mL per mu. If planting in sandy soil, bed planting can be used: dibble at small row spacing of 15-20 cm, cover with soil 6-8 cm. 26000-30000 plants per mu. After completing, water (water flow should not be too strong; sprinkler irrigation is best). After watering, without waiting for the soil to dry, immediately spray pendimethalin (Stomp) at 120 mL per mu.

V. Topdressing

When seedlings are 10-15 cm tall, mix 15 kg urea and 50 kg 45% potassium sulfate compound fertilizer per mu and apply. After about another 40 days, apply 50 kg 45% potassium sulfate compound fertilizer plus 15 kg 50% potassium sulfate as topdressing. If planted in beds, water-soluble fertilizer can also be applied with irrigation. In rainy areas, after one month apply another 50 kg 45% potassium sulfate compound fertilizer, and optionally 15 kg 50% potassium sulfate mixed evenly (in rainy areas, topdress at least 3 times).

VI. Flower Removal

When the flower buds just emerge on the last layer of leaves, promptly remove flowers on a sunny day. Immediately after removing flowers, spray 600-fold carbendazim solution, and optionally add Tianda 2116 (foliar fertilizer) and 0.3-0.4% urea solution.

VII. Mulching

When seedlings are 30-40 cm tall, spray 800-fold Lorsban (also known as Dursban, chlorpyrifos) solution at the base to prevent cutworms. Spray once more after one month. If wheat straw, rice straw, or leaves are used to cover the spaces leaving only seedlings exposed, it can suppress weeds, preserve warmth, reduce temperature, and increase soil organic matter.

VIII. Key Management Points

1. Sufficient base fertilizer and complete nutrition.

2. Sufficient moisture during the germination period; keep soil moist during growth; pay attention to drainage to avoid waterlogging.

3. In early topdressing, increase nitrogen; in mid-stage, increase phosphorus and potassium; in late stage, potassium should be even more sufficient.
