1. Short-term storage in plastic bags: Lanzhou lily is an excellent variety among lilies in China. If consumed within 50 days after harvest, the fresh bulbs can be directly placed into plastic bags, sealed, and kept in a cool place. In winter, the storage temperature should not be lower than 0°C, and they can be taken out as needed. 2. Cellar storage method: Choose various earthen cellars such as sweet potato cellars. First, clean out the cellar thoroughly, shovel off a layer of old soil, fumigate with sulfur for 1-2 hours or spray with fungicide for disinfection. Sun-dry the dug-out fresh lily bulbs on a sunny day for 6-8 hours, then remove the soil clumps from the bulbs,

2. Cellar storage method: Choose various earthen cellars such as sweet potato cellars. First, clean out the cellar thoroughly, shovel off a layer of old soil, fumigate with sulfur for 1-2 hours or spray with fungicide for disinfection. Sun-dry the dug-out fresh lily bulbs on a sunny day for 6-8 hours, then remove the soil clumps from the bulbs, select well-grown, disease-free, uninjured fresh bulbs and carefully place them into the cellar. The stacking thickness of lily bulbs is 70-90 cm. From the time the lilies are put into the cellar until the end of October, the cellar opening should be kept open to facilitate ventilation and heat dissipation (pay attention to rain protection). After November, gradually seal the cellar opening according to weather conditions, and by around the time of Major Snow, the cellar opening can be tightly sealed. Regularly check inside the cellar and promptly deal with any abnormal conditions. The lily bulbs can be stored until the spring of the following year.

3. Sand storage method: Choose a well-ventilated room or open shed, clean it thoroughly, and prepare wet sand with a moisture content of 35%-50%. First, spread a layer of 8-10 cm of wet sand on the ground, then place a layer of selected lily bulbs at a thickness of 10-15 cm, then cover with a layer of wet sand. In this way, alternate layers of sand and lilies until reaching a height of 80-100 cm, and finally cover with 10-12 cm of wet sand.

The management of the sand storage method mainly involves ventilation in the early stage and heat preservation in the later stage. From August to November, the weather is relatively hot, so doors and windows should be opened for ventilation to facilitate the respiration and heat dissipation of the lilies. If the surface sand layer is found to be dry, a small amount of clean water can be sprayed. After December, the weather turns cold, so attention should be paid to heat preservation and frost prevention, keeping the indoor temperature not lower than 0°C. In this way, the lilies can also be stored until the spring of the following year.
