Detailed Explanation of the Processing Technology and Production Method of Lily Powder
Processing fresh lilies into lily powder can greatly extend the storage period and also make them convenient to eat. The processing technology is as follows:
1. Grinding into slurry: Remove various impurities from fresh lily heads, wash them clean, put them into a pulping machine, add an appropriate amount of water, and grind into a thick lily slurry.
2. Filtering: Put the thick lily slurry into a cloth bag, place it in clear water in a vat, stir and rinse it, and filter it with a 55--57 mesh sieve or filter cloth until all the slurry juice is filtered out, there is no white juice in the residue, and the filtrate is clear water.
3. Rinsing: Rinse the filtered lily slurry twice with clear water in a vat. Each rinse requires stirring the entire vat, and after clarification, skim off the powder residue on the surface and remove the sand and mud at the bottom.
4. Deep sedimentation: Move the rinsed middle-layer lily powder slurry into another vat, dilute it with clear water by stirring, and let it settle. After sedimentation, continue to skim off the powder residue on the surface and the sand and mud at the bottom of the vat, and repeat 1--2 times until the lily powder settled at the bottom of the vat is white in color.
5. Drying: Put the settled white lily powder into a hanging cloth bag and suspend it for 12 hours to drain off the water; then break it into pieces of powder mass, place them on a bamboo mat and sun-dry until half-dry; finally, break them into many small pieces, slice them into thin sheets and sun-dry them, and they become lily powder, which can be packaged in bags for market @#@136@#@ or storage.
In order to make the lily powder white and pure with a good appearance, the steps of rinsing and sedimentation must be well controlled, and every effort should be made to remove the surface powder residue and the bottom sand and mud completely. At the same time, during the powder-drying process, windblown sand and impurities should be prevented from flying into the drying yard, so as to avoid contaminating the lily powder.
