Medicating fish before stocking is simple and safe, with ideal results in preventing and treating fish diseases. Here are several good methods for medicating fish fry baths. 1. Potassium permanganate bath method: Bathe in a 10-20 mg/kg potassium permanganate aqueous solution for 10-30 minutes, which can kill bacteria, protozoa, monogeneans, etc. on the body surface and gills. Potassium permanganate should be prepared and used fresh; the water used for the solution should be clean water containing relatively little organic matter, and the bath should be carried out away from light. 2. Bleaching powder bath method: 10-20

2. Bleaching powder bath method: Bathe in a 10-20 mg/kg bleaching powder (containing 30% effective chlorine) aqueous solution for 10-30 minutes, which can kill bacteria on the body surface and gills.

3. Salt water bath method: Bathe in a 3%-4% aqueous salt solution for 10 minutes, which can kill some bacteria and protozoa on the body surface and gills.

4. Bleaching powder and copper sulfate mixture bath method: Add 10 g of bleaching powder and 8 g of copper sulfate per 1 cubic meter of water, and bathe for 10-30 minutes, which can kill bacteria and protozoa on the body surface and gills.

5. Copper sulfate or ferrous sulfate mixture bath method: Bathe in an 8 mg/kg aqueous solution of copper sulfate or a mixture of copper sulfate and ferrous sulfate (5:2) for 10-30 minutes, which can kill protozoa parasitic on the body surface and gills.

The "five cautions" during bathing: First, the number of fish bathed each time should not be too large, so as to avoid oxygen deficiency; second, the duration of the bath is related to water temperature, water quality and fish species, and should be flexibly controlled; before each use, first conduct a small-batch test to ensure the safety of the fish fry; third, after the bath, gently pour the fish together with the solution into the fish pond to prevent bruising the fish; fourth, after the solution is prepared, it can only be used to bathe one batch of fish fry, otherwise the solution will be diluted, which will affect the disinfection effect; fifth, do not use metal containers.
