What are the technical methods for raising silver carp with bacterial fertilizer?

Silver carp, also known as white silver carp. It is a large freshwater fish that feeds mainly on aquatic plankton. Silver carp grows relatively fast and has relatively high economic value, and it is valued by the freshwater aquaculture industry, making it one of the important species in mixed-culture fish ponds. Silver carp inhabits the middle and upper layers of the water. In natural rivers and lakes, the largest individual can reach more than 20 kg, while in ponds, the largest individual is 10-15 kg. Silver carp has the characteristics of fast growth, few diseases, and no need for special artificial feeding. Silver carp has the characteristics of fast growth, few diseases, and no need for special artificial feeding. Therefore, although its flesh tastes not as good as that of black carp and grass carp, it is still currently the main fish in pond aquaculture, especially in suburban fish farming, with output ranking first.

1. Choose a suitable fish pond: The area of the fingerling pond is best at 3500--4000 sq m, with a water depth of more than 2 m, no water leakage, sufficient water source, and convenient filling and drainage. For a yield of more than 500 kg/667 sq m, each 667 sq m of pond should also be equipped with about 0.5 kw of aeration equipment.

2. Cultivate palatable feed: Silver carp mainly feeds on phytoplankton (including bacteria attached to algae). At the fry stage (body length about 15 mm), it feeds on zooplankton and also on artificially fed soybean milk. Silver carp is a typical fish that ingests algae. The main components it swallows are various diatoms, dinoflagellates, golden algae, yellow-green algae, etc. Rotifers, small crustaceans, protozoans, etc. also appear in its intestinal tract. Larger cladocerans and copepods are rarely eaten. Therefore, Jinbao bacterial fertilizer should often be applied to the pond to ensure an adequate supply of algae.

3. Strengthen water quality management: Although silver carp rarely gets sick, the water quality should still be kept clean and fertile. In addition to frequently adding new water and draining part of the old water, Jinbao bacterial fertilizer should also be applied frequently, and the water transparency can be maintained at about 30 cm-40 cm. From mid to late September, gradually reduce the frequency of adding water, and at the same time apply chemical fertilizer as a top dressing, once every 7--10 days. For each 667 sq m of fish pond, 1.5--2.5 kg of urea and 2.5--5 kg of phosphate fertilizer can be applied each time.

4. Do a good job in fish disease prevention and control: At the end of July and the end of August, splash the whole pond once each with 20 g/cubic meter of quicklime. In mid-August and mid-September, splash the whole pond with 0.5 g/cubic meter of crystal trichlorfon and 0.2 g/cubic meter of ferrous sulfate. Between mid-August and mid-September, feed with furazolidone medicated bait for 2 treatment courses, and the feeding platform should also be cleaned frequently or disinfected with bleaching powder.
