What are the feeding methods for the five types of fish feed?
I. Cake-type feed. Cake-type feed for feeding small fish should be crushed, soaked and ground into a slurry before feeding; for medium to large fish, simply soaking it soft is enough.
II. Grain feed. Large grains such as corn should be crushed and processed before feeding to fish; small grains such as paddy grains can be sprouted before feeding to fish. The young white sprouts of grains have high nutritional value, are easy for fish to digest, are absorbed quickly, and promote fast weight gain.
III. Green fodder. For feeding medium to large fish, green fodder can generally be fed directly after the soil is removed; for feeding small fish, it should be chopped or pulped, then mixed evenly with 0.2% salt and splashed in to feed. After chopping the green fodder and cooking it, mixing in an appropriate amount of bran and soda makes it more appealing to small fish.
IV. Distiller's grains and bran feed. For feeding small fish, distiller's grains and bran-type feed should be soaked soft and ground into a slurry; for feeding medium to large fish, it is best to ferment it until it has a vinous aroma before feeding. When feeding for the first time, feed a small amount first, then gradually increase the amount, but it should not exceed 30% of the total daily feed amount.
V. Manure feed. Chicken manure, pig manure, cow manure and the like are all good feed for fish. Dry the manure in the sun, grind it into powder, and then use it in a certain proportion mixed with other feeds. The proportion used should not be too high; generally, 40%-50% chicken manure, 50%-70% cow manure, and 30%-50% pig manure are suitable.
