(1) Land preparation: Choose loose, fertile loam soil with good drainage. During land preparation, broadcast fully decomposed organic fertilizer at 5 cubic meters per mu, and deep plow 30-35 cm. Then make beds at a width of 110-120 cm with 50 cm walkways, then broadcast 10-15 kg of superphosphate, 4-6 kg of potassium sulfate and 0.8-1.0 kg of quintozene per 100 sq m of bed surface, then dig again 20-30 cm deep, so that the soil becomes loose, crumbly, level, soft and fertile. (1) Land preparation

Choose loose, fertile loam soil with good drainage. Water thoroughly once 3 days before planting. In plots where other bulb flowers have been grown, 800-fold dicofol should also be added to the mixture to prevent damage from root mites.

(2) Bulb treatment

The bulbs should be treated at a low temperature of 0°C-4°C for 30-35 days, or at 7°C-8°C for 40-50 days. After breaking dormancy, soak and sprout them: first use large, robust bulbs, peel off the outer aged, dead or diseased scales, soak in an 800-fold mixture of carbendazim and thiophanate-methyl for 30 minutes, remove and rinse briefly with clean water, spread 1-2 layers on the ground, cover with straw to retain moisture and promote sprouting, and plant after sprouting or white roots appear.

(3) Planting

Generally plant from late September to early October; where winter frost is severe and there are no heating facilities, plant in early spring.

(4) Field management

Water thoroughly immediately after planting and keep the soil moist. When the seedlings emerge about 5 cm, apply once a diluted cake fertilizer solution or diluted manure water, and apply diluted manure water again after 15-20 days. After each fertilization, spray water in the air immediately. During the full bud stage, spray 0.2% monopotassium phosphate or a multi-element microfertilizer solution once every 7-10 days. After each thorough watering, shallowly cultivate and weed in time, but do not cultivate too deeply. After emergence, use a shade net with 50%-70% light transmittance to provide shade outside or inside the shed.

(5) Pest and disease control

Common lily diseases include gray mold, leaf spot and root rot, mainly controlled through the aforementioned bulb and soil disinfection. If disease occurs during the growing period, alternately spray fungicides such as amobam and carbendazim at regular intervals of 7-10 days. Common pests are mainly underground pests such as root mites and aphids, controlled with phoxim and dicofol.

(6) Marketing

It is best to cut when the first flower is just about to open. The scissors need to be disinfected with 75% alcohol, and the stubble height left is generally 10-15 cm to benefit bulb development. After harvesting, first treat with clean water or deionized water, then sort and package.
