Detailed Explanation of New Techniques for Weed Control in Lily Fields
I. Weed Control After Sowing and Before Sprouting
After lilies are sown and before sprouting, apply 100-150 ml of 33% pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per mu (1 mu = 1/15 hectare, the same below) mixed with 50-75 kg of water and spray evenly on the ground, with a residual effect lasting up to 50 days; apply 200 ml of 48% butralin emulsifiable concentrate per mu mixed with 50-75 kg of water and spray evenly on the ground, with a residual effect lasting about 30 days; in addition, for each mu of lilies, one may also choose 120-150 g of 50% herbicide No. 1 wettable powder, or 500 ml of 30% propachlor emulsifiable concentrate, or 300-400 ml of 60% butachlor emulsifiable concentrate, or 200-250 g of 15% isoproturon wettable powder, or 100 g of 50% herbicide No. 1 wettable powder plus 50 g of 50% prometryn wettable powder, or 300 ml of 30% propachlor emulsifiable concentrate plus 120-150 g of 25% nitrofen emulsifiable concentrate, mix well (any one of the above agents may be selected), add 50-75 kg of water, and spray evenly on the ground soil after sowing lilies and before emergence.
II. Weed Control During the Seedling Stage
The lily seedling stage is long. To prevent new weeds from emerging, apply per mu 100-150 ml of 33% pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate, or 100-150 ml of 48% trifluralin emulsifiable concentrate (trifluralin is sensitive to light; to prevent photodegradation, after spraying, shallow hoe about 1 cm to mix it with the soil so as to better exert its herbicidal effect), or 200 ml of 48% butralin emulsifiable concentrate, or 500-1500 g of 25% nitrofen wettable powder, or 100 g of 50% linuron wettable powder, or 150 g of 50% prometryn wettable powder, or 750 g of 25% swep wettable powder (any one of the above agents may be selected), add 50-75 kg of water, and spray evenly on the surface soil 2-3 times during the lily seedling stage and bulb stage to effectively control various weeds. If no herbicide was used at the lily emergence stage and weed damage occurs after the lilies emerge, apply per mu 75-100 g of 50% linuron wettable powder, or 750-1000 ml of 25% nitrofen emulsifiable concentrate, or 70-100 g of 20% sethoxydim, or 100-150 g of 20% paraquat (any one of the above agents may be selected), add 50-75 kg of water, and carry out directed foliar spraying on the weeds.
Using the above methods can effectively control various weeds that harm the normal growth of lilies, such as foxtail, barnyardgrass, crabgrass, wild amaranth, lambsquarters, and others.
