What are the methods for fattening snakes? A full analysis of practical breeding techniques

Autumn is the season when snakes eat heavily, and it can be said to be the peak feeding period of the year for snakes. Therefore, fattening work in artificial snake farming in autumn is especially important, and it is also a "critical period" in snake management. The following work must be done well to achieve the goal of fattening. (1) Thoroughly clear the snake enclosure. Therefore, fattening work in artificial @#@246@#@ in autumn is especially important, and it is also a "critical period" in snake management. The following work must be done well to achieve the goal of fattening.

(1) Thoroughly clear the snake enclosure. In autumn, for the convenience of feeding or for snakes to better receive sunlight and thus facilitate food absorption and digestion, weeds that provided shade and cooling for the snakes in summer must be partially cut or selectively pulled out. When cutting with a sickle, do not leave it too far from the ground; it should be about 30 cm above the ground to avoid sharp grass stubble piercing the snakes' skin. If the vegetation in the snake enclosure is not too tall or too dense, it can be left as it is.

(2) Feeding must be sufficient. Snakes eat relatively frequently in autumn, so they should be fed on time every 5-7 days, and the amount fed should be more than 2 times the number of snakes, so as to ensure that all snakes, large and small, in the enclosure can get enough food. The varieties of food fed should be as diverse as possible. The feeding time can be changed to after 9 a.m., and the starting and ending locations should be chosen in shaded areas. After placing the food, the feeder should withdraw as soon as possible to avoid excessively disturbing the snakes and affecting their feeding. In addition, from 9:30 to 18:30, try not to enter the enclosure and disturb the snakes, ensuring that the snake enclosure stays quiet. In such an environment, the snakes can eat well and eat their fill, thereby storing thick fat to get through the long winter.

(3) Deworming is timely now. The foods favored by snakes, such as toads and mice, carry more or less parasites or parasite eggs on their bodies. Once a snake swallows them, the parasites will live in the abdominal cavity and absorb the snake's nutrients, causing the snake to eat much but grow little, or even to become noticeably thin. For this reason, before early autumn, deworming drugs such as albendazole, refined trichlorfon, metronidazole and thiabendazole must be used to deworm the snakes. Deworming drugs can be fed directly or given indirectly when feeding the snakes. The drug dosage must be strictly calculated according to the snake's body weight before being allocated, and care must be taken to prevent overdose from affecting the snakes' feeding.
