How to prevent and treat winter diarrhea in pigs? Pig farmers need to master these methods
Winter diarrhea is epidemic diarrhea of pigs in winter. The peak incidence period is from mid-December to mid-January of the following year; the onset is acute, the spread is rapid, and the epidemic range is wide; the incidence rate is high and the mortality rate is low, seriously affecting the growth and development of pigs.
Symptoms
The incubation period of this disease is generally 12 hours to 18 hours. After adult pigs are infected, watery diarrhea appears. The feces are initially grayish white, gradually becoming yellowish green, with a foul odor. Abdominal distension, vomiting, and body temperature initially rises to 40°C to 41°C. Once diarrhea occurs, the body temperature drops, and the pig is thirsty and drinks eagerly. Piglets within 10 days of age suddenly vomit, followed by watery diarrhea, with curds in the stool, and if not treated in time, they become emaciated and die. The author used integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine to treat more than 100 cases, with an effective rate of over 96%.
Methods
At the beginning of the disease, body temperature rises. Intramuscular injection of antipyrine, analgin, etc., 10 ml to 20 ml for adult pigs.

After the stool is passed, 0.5% Xijunjing injection can be used, at a dose of 2 ml to 5 ml per kg of body weight, and Zhubingling injection at 1 ml to 2 ml per 10 kg of body weight. Twice a day.
