5 contraindications for immune injection in domestic rabbits; only reasonable immunization brings healthy rabbits
Before immunizing domestic rabbits, you should first investigate and study the local rabbit disease prevalence situation and patterns, formulate a reasonable immunization program for domestic rabbits, and vaccinate the rabbits in a targeted manner.

1. Do not inject expired vaccines:When choosing vaccines, you should estimate the amount of vaccine needed based on the number of rabbits raised and the immunization period of the vaccine, and purchase from a legitimate animal husbandry department. Vaccines with cracked bottle walls, unclear labels, or unclear records must not be purchased, and do not buy vaccines that have not been stored as required or that are nearing expiration.
2. Do not inject too much or too little vaccine:If too much vaccine is injected, the rabbits will have a vaccine reaction; if too little, the antigen will be reduced and the preventive effect cannot be achieved. Before using the vaccine, it should be fully shaken so that the precipitate is mixed evenly, the bottle label and instructions should be carefully read, and the injection should be strictly given according to the standard dose. Also keep records of the injection dose, date, vaccine place of origin, and factory release time, etc., to prevent missed vaccinations.
3. Do not inject sick rabbits:The health status of domestic rabbits directly affects the success rate of immunization. When a rabbit has already been infected with a certain infectious disease, injecting the vaccine will not only fail to achieve the immunization goal but may instead cause death. Therefore, when domestic rabbits have sudden changes in feeding conditions, harsh environments, long-distance transport, fever, or illness, they must not be injected with vaccine.
4. Do not inject pregnant female rabbits:The vaccine is actually a weakened virus, which can cause miscarriage, premature birth, or stillbirth in female rabbits. For breeding female rabbits, the vaccine is best injected one month before mating, which can both prevent miscarriage in female rabbits during pregnancy due to vaccination and improve the immunity of newborn rabbits.
5. Do not inject young rabbits too early:Newborn rabbits obtain maternal antibodies from the mother's body, which can effectively resist disease. If the vaccine is injected too early, first, the immunity of the young rabbits becomes poorer, and second, it interferes with maternal antibodies. Therefore, young rabbits should be injected with rabbit plague vaccine at 40-45 days of age for their first immunization, and then immunized once more at 60 days of age.
