Transmission route The pathogen overwinters in diseased plant residues and seeds. The following year, when environmental conditions are suitable, the pathogen spreads via wind and rain. August to September is the peak period of the disease.

Control methods

1. Do not plant too densely, provide appropriate ventilation, strengthen fertilizer and water management, and enhance the disease resistance of the plants. Remove diseased leaves and diseased plants, gather them and destroy them to reduce sources of infection.

2. During the period of disease occurrence, use a 1000-1200 times dilution of 15% Fenarimol wettable powder, or a 1000 times dilution of 70% Thiophanate-methyl wettable powder for control. Avoid spraying at high temperatures above 32°C to prevent phytotoxicity.
