Treatment Methods and Practical Tips for Fish External Injuries
The fish body surface has a layer of mucus, which serves to protect the body surface from bacterial invasion. When a fish suffers an external injury, it is prone to infection by bacteria or mold, causing secondary diseases. Therefore, when a fish suffers an external injury, it should be treated promptly to avoid infection.
During treatment, you can directly apply red mercurochrome to the injured area (avoid applying it to the eyes), or soak the sick fish in a dilute solution of 1 to 2 parts per million of antibiotics (such as tetracycline, furacilin, etc.). You can also apply anti-inflammatory ointment (such as erythromycin ointment, tetracycline ointment) to the injured area, then soak it in a tetracycline medicated solution of 1 to 2 parts per million (1-2 ppm).
