The Snake Plum fruit is relatively large and round-spherical. The average single fruit weight is 139 grams, and the largest fruit weight is 210.2 grams. The skin is bright red to purplish red, with bloom. The flesh is pale yellow, gradually turning red from the outside inward as it ripens, and the color is extremely beautiful. The flesh is crisp, non-melting, crisp and refreshing, delicate, with a relatively strong aroma, sweet and refreshing taste, and extremely superior quality. The soluble solids content is 15.2%, the sugar degree is 16.5-19.2%, and the titratable acid is 0.73%, giving excellent quality. At harvest, the fruit is firm, the fruit surface is smooth and glossy, the flesh is purplish red, and the stone is very small and semi-clinging. At Ruixue Company it ripens from late July to early August. The harvest period is long; after the onset of the dog days, harvesting can begin once the fruit surface turns red, and it continues until the fruit surface turns purplish red and fully ripe, with a successive harvest period of about 10-15 days. Fruits picked when red have a shelf life of more than 15 days. The fruit stores well: at room temperature it can be kept for more than 2 months, and in cold storage it can be stored until the end of April the following year. The market price is as high as 40 yuan per kilogram, making it the highest-priced variety in the current Brown Plum series.
