The swine fever-swine erysipelas-swine pasteurellosis vaccine protects against three diseases with a single injection, making it both economical and convenient to use, and it is highly favored by farmers. If not used correctly, it will not provide good protection. To use it correctly, the first step is to choose a suitable diluent. In general, inactivated viral vaccines have a better immune effect when diluted with normal saline, while inactivated bacterial vaccines have a better immune effect when diluted with their aluminum hydroxide adjuvant. The swine fever-swine erysipelas-swine pasteurellosis vaccine protects against three diseases with a single injection, making it both economical and convenient to use, and it is highly favored by farmers. If not used correctly, it will not provide good protection.

How to use it correctly

First, choose a suitable diluent. In general, inactivated viral vaccines have a better immune effect when diluted with normal saline, while inactivated bacterial vaccines have a better immune effect when diluted with their aluminum hydroxide adjuvant. When the swine triple live vaccine is diluted with normal saline, the swine fever immune effect is consistent with that of the swine fever single vaccine, but the swine pasteurellosis immune effect is affected.

When diluted with aluminum hydroxide normal saline, the swine erysipelas and swine pasteurellosis immune effects are consistent with those of the swine erysipelas and swine pasteurellosis live vaccines, but the swine fever immune effect will be interfered with to a certain extent. Therefore, the diluent should be chosen according to the actual situation on the farm.

Second, there is mutual interference between the swine fever live vaccine and the porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (blue ear disease) live vaccine, so injections of the swine fever live vaccine and the blue ear disease live vaccine must be separated by more than 7 days.

Third, pay attention to avoiding allergic reactions to the vaccine injection. After injecting the swine triple vaccine, observe for 20-30 minutes; if an allergic reaction is found, immediately inject epinephrine or dexamethasone to avoid unnecessary losses. Fourth, conduct antibody level testing in a timely manner; if the antibody level is not up to standard, immediately carry out booster vaccination to ensure the immune effect.
