What are the precautions for stocking fish fingerlings in early spring? Farmers should keep these points in mind

1. Fingerling quality: The fingerlings to be stocked should be of the same species and same age, uniform in size, robust and uninjured, with intact scales and fin rays, strong upstream swimming ability, and after being removed from water, the gill cover should not open and the fish should keep jumping. 2. Fingerling disinfection: When disinfecting fingerlings, note: ① The medicine should be prepared and used immediately; use clean water to prepare the solution, avoid using fertilized water, and avoid direct sunlight when soaking the fingerlings in the medicine. ② The dosage must be accurate, avoiding insufficient or excessive medication. ③ The soaking time should be appropriate. If signs of poisoning appear in the fingerlings, immediately add water

1. Fingerling quality

The fingerlings to be stocked should be of the same species and same age, uniform in size, robust and uninjured, with intact scales and fin rays, strong upstream swimming ability, and after being removed from water, the gill cover should not open and the fish should keep jumping.

2. Fingerling disinfection

When disinfecting fingerlings, note: ① The medicine should be prepared and used immediately; use clean water to prepare the solution, avoid using fertilized water, and avoid direct sunlight when soaking the fingerlings in the medicine. ② The dosage must be accurate, avoiding insufficient or excessive medication. ③ The soaking time should be appropriate. If signs of poisoning appear in the fingerlings, immediately add water or move the fingerlings to another container with clean water.

3. Stocking time

Before the fingerlings are put into the pond, strict pond clearing and disinfection work should first be done, and the fish can only be released after the drug effects have completely disappeared. The best time to stock fingerlings is at noon on consecutive sunny days. When putting them into the pond, note that the temperature difference between the water in the fingerling container and the pond water should not exceed 3°C. Generally, plastic bags filled with oxygen can be used to transport fingerlings. When putting them into the pond, they should go through "acclimation" treatment and be counted accurately.

4. Polyculture types

Adult fish ponds can generally polyculture five or six species of fish, among which one or two species are dominant, called the main @#@233@#@. For example, ponds mainly culturing grass carp generally also stock bream and wuchang bream; ponds mainly culturing black carp generally also stock carp; except for ponds mainly culturing silver carp and bighead carp, other types of ponds can generally polyculture silver carp and bighead carp. Silver carp and bighead carp are essential fish in polyculture ponds.

5. Polyculture ratio

The polyculture ratio now commonly adopted in various places is the "80:20" model, that is, 80% consists of one relatively popular "high-value fish" that feeds on pellet feed, and the remaining 20% consists of "service" fish, such as filter-feeding fish (helpful for purifying water quality) and carnivorous fish (helpful for controlling wild and miscellaneous fish).
