After enduring the hot summer, most domestic rabbits are weak and thin, so as soon as autumn begins you must quickly increase feed to fatten them up, in order to improve the rabbits' physical strength and production performance. The following methods can be used to fatten thin rabbits in autumn and winter.

1. For rabbits with rough, messy fur and poor spirits, take an appropriate amount of tea leaves, plus 15 grams each of Boschniakia rossica and honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica), decoct the juice for oral administration, 2 times a day, 10-15 milliliters per rabbit each time, for 3-5 consecutive days, with marked effect.

2. Dissolve 5-7 grams of white sugar per rabbit per day in warm water and let the rabbit drink it freely. Generally, after 15-20 days of use, the rabbit will regain its fat.

3. Take 10 grams each of red dates and brown sugar, and 8 grams of Angelica sinensis, decoct the juice and feed it to the rabbit, once a day, for 7-10 consecutive days.

4. Take 50 grams of fresh celery, 10 grams of lard, and 0.5 grams of salt, stir-fry until cooked and feed to the rabbit, once a day, for 7 consecutive days.

5. Take 5-10 grams of Ligustrum lucidum ground into powder, mix it into the feed and feed it to the rabbit at one time, for 15-20 consecutive days.

6. To fatten old rabbits, take 2 grams of Vitex negundo seeds and 1.5 grams of Sophora flavescens (fried until yellow), grind them together into a fine powder, mix into the feed and feed, once a day, for 15 consecutive days.

7. Take 10 grams each of barley malt and Dryopteris crassirhizoma, and 15 grams of Polygonum multiflorum, grind them together into powder. Use 2 grams of the medicine per kilogram of rabbit body weight, mix into the feed and feed, once each in the morning and evening, for 15-20 consecutive days. This recipe is suitable for thin, weak rabbits caused by parasites or chronic indigestion.

8. Mix 50% cinnamon powder, 20% dried ginger powder, 9% licorice powder, 7% star anise powder, 6% soybean powder (fried until cooked), and 8% ferrous sulfate thoroughly, then mix into the feed, add an appropriate amount of water and mix well, use 3 grams per rabbit per day, feed once every other day, and after 15 days the rabbit will regain its fat.

9. Take 25 grams of ginger powder, 50 grams of cinnamon, 10 grams each of licorice and ferrous sulfate, and 9 grams of star anise, grind them together into a fine powder, mix 2-3 grams into the feed per rabbit each time, once a day, for 7-10 consecutive days, with an obvious fattening effect.

10. Take 5 grams each of the traditional Chinese medicines Omphalia lapidescens, tangerine peel, Cyperus rotundus, and Magnolia officinalis, and 12 grams of hawthorn, grind them together into a fine powder, mix into the feed and feed to the rabbit, or take 5 grams of the medicinal powder and mix it directly with water for oral administration, once a day. Generally, thin, weak rabbits without disease will show results after 7 days of use.
