Recently, it has been a season of high incidence of cage fish diseases. The fishery authorities of Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, have carried out four services to comprehensively implement disease prevention and control work.

1. Science and technology outreach service. Disease monitoring reporters in each area regularly visit each monitoring point and surrounding cage aquaculture areas to learn about conditions. Municipal-level disease monitoring reporters are guaranteed to go to the grassroots to carry out services twice a week (1-2 days each time).

2. Rapid response service. If fishermen encounter sudden disease outbreaks, experts are organized to rush to the scene within 2 hours. Recently, three similar rapid response services have been organized. After each rapid response service, proactive telephone follow-ups are made, and the consultation hotline is kept open 24 hours a day.

3. SMS platform service. The disease monitoring network platform is used to send real-time information on healthy aquaculture technology and disease prevention and control technology. Based on the epidemic patterns of diseases, early warning information is issued for diseases that may occur, with special reminders of the key points that farmers should control. Recently, 53,420 text messages have been sent to sea bass farmers.

4. Technical communication service. Technical communications such as "Prevention of Recent Cage Fish Parasitic Diseases" have been successively compiled and distributed to fishery technology extension departments of each county (city), key townships, and monitoring points, and passed on to grassroots fishermen through platforms such as SMS and the internet.
