In recent years, the market price of conventional fish has kept falling, sometimes even approaching the cost price, and fish farmers can make a loss with the slightest carelessness. Can money still be made from farming conventional fish? With this question in mind, our reporter visited some of the more profitable large-scale fish farmers in the province, and based on a summary of their successful experience, here are 10 production recommendations. 1. In recent years, the market price of conventional fish has kept falling, sometimes even approaching the cost price, and @#@233@#@ farmers can make a loss with the slightest carelessness. Can money still be made from farming conventional fish? With this question in mind, our reporter visited some of the more profitable large-scale fish farmers in the province, and based on a summary of their successful experience, here are 10 production recommendations.

1. Advocate pollution-free farming. With the introduction of the pollution-free agricultural product market access system, the production of pollution-free aquatic products will inevitably receive a high degree of attention. Whoever wants to remain invincible in the great tide of the future market economy must make preparations in this regard early.

2. Reasonably polyculture valuable and special-quality fish species with a "wild-fish removal" function. Generally, there are many wild and miscellaneous fish in adult fish ponds, and they compete with the main cultured fish for food and oxygen. These fish not only affect the growth of the main cultured fish, but also fetch a low price. In this case, if predatory fish with high economic value are reasonably polycultured in intensive ponds, they can not only eliminate the wild and miscellaneous fish in the pond, but also further improve the economic benefits of the fish pond. Take snakehead as an example: polyculture 30 snakehead per mu at a size of 100 g each; calculating the snakehead catch rate at 70%, the commercial size in the same year can grow to 2-3 kg each, and each mu can produce 40-50 kg of adult snakehead. Calculated at 12 yuan/kg, each mu of pond can increase income by about 500 yuan.

3. Strengthen daily management. As the saying goes: "Three parts farming, seven parts managing." From the time the fingerlings are put into the pond until they are harvested from the pond @#@136@#@, patrol the pond every morning, noon and evening to observe whether the fish are moving and feeding normally. In high-temperature seasons, on rainy days, and when air pressure is very low, turn on the aerator in time to strictly prevent floating-head and pond-wide fish kills. As the temperature rises, the pond's food organisms also become more abundant, and water quality is prone to change, so water quality should be adjusted in a timely manner. Generally, inject a small amount of fresh water every 10-15 days, and regularly disinfect the feeding area, tools and pond water.

4. Market fish in a balanced way. Start catching fish for market every year in May-June. In this way, the adult fish are sold at a good price, and the stock density of fish in the pond is also reduced.

5. Do not follow the crowd in fish farming. When choosing aquaculture species, do not farm whatever species @#@3@#@; instead, farm whatever species most fish farmers are currently losing money on and have stopped or reduced farming. Determine the farming species according to the overall market situation and farming structure.

6. Value new technologies. Priority should be given to new aquaculture species with large market demand and high technological content. For example, high-yield pond farming of yellow catfish, and new farming technologies such as immune injection farming of grass carp.

7. Grow grass to raise fish and reduce costs. In the current intensive pond farming model, feed costs account for about 80% of the entire production cost. When mainly farming some herbivorous fish (such as grass carp, blunt snout bream, etc.), we can include some green grass in the daily ration. This can both reduce farming costs and improve the fish's feeding structure, achieving the goal of promoting growth.

8. Stock large-size fingerlings. For some cultured species (such as grass carp, blunt snout bream, crucian carp, etc.), we can adopt the method of stocking large-size fingerlings to increase the harvest size, thereby improving the economic benefits of pond fish farming.

9. Do a good job in fish disease prevention. "If fish farming avoids disease, you get rich enough to faint." According to the characteristic that fish diseases are not easily discovered, do a good job in routine fish disease prevention, and do not have any mentality of taking chances.

10. Choose feed carefully. The worse the farming market situation, the more you should choose high-quality feed. Inferior feed can not only cause a decline in fish physique and frequent diseases, but also increase the amount of waste excreted by fish, increasing the pressure of pond water quality management.
