In the prevention and treatment of fish diseases, if local green plants or Chinese medicinal herbs can be used to prepare fish medicines, it can not only prevent and treat common diseases such as red-skin disease, enteritis, and gill rot, but also save costs. Several simple preparation methods of green fish medicines are introduced below: 1. Sanhuang powder: prepared from rhubarb, Phellodendron amurense (Amur cork tree bark), and Scutellaria baicalensis (Baikal skullcap) in a ratio of 5:3:2. When in use, add 1 kg of "Sanhuang powder" and 0.4 kg of table salt to every 10 kg of fish feed, add an appropriate amount of water, and make granular medicated bait for feeding. Once a day, for 5 consecutive days; the treatment effect is significant in the early stage of the disease.

Several simple preparation methods of green fish medicines are introduced below:

1. After the fish disease enters the late stage, Sanhuang powder can be prepared into a medicinal solution with a concentration of 1-1.5 mg/l and splashed over the whole pond. If combined with splashing a copper sulfate solution with a concentration of 0.5 mg/l, the effect is even better. Once a day, for 3-6 consecutive days.

2. Chinese gall: use 2-3 g of Chinese gall per cubic meter of water, decoct to obtain the liquid, and evenly splash it over the whole pond. Fresh Chinese gall leaves collected can also be piled as compost in a corner of the pond, using 15-20 kg of fresh leaves per 667 sq m (mu); after 10-12 days, stir the pond water once, and then stir once every month thereafter. It has disinfecting and sterilizing effects. It has a good effect on preventing and treating red-skin disease, enteritis, gill rot, and other diseases.

3. Masson pine leaves: use 1.5 kg of Masson pine leaves per 667 sq m of water surface, crush them, add 50 g of table salt, and mix with green feed for feeding. Alternatively, use 40 kg of fresh Masson pine leaves per 667 sq m, cut and grind them finely, then add 25 kg of water and sprinkle over the whole pond.

4. Castor leaves: use 2-3 kg of castor leaves (stalks) per 667 sq m of water surface, cut them up and beat them into a pulp, and evenly splash over the whole pond, once every 4-5 days. The castor leaves (stalks) can also be pounded into a pulp and mixed with bait for feeding. Castor stalks can also be tied into bundles, 2 kg per bundle, and 2-3 bundles per 667 sq m of water surface can be placed in the water, which can effectively prevent the spread of fish diseases. On the day before feeding castor leaves (stalks) or pulp, fish feeding should be stopped. The pulp should be splashed evenly, and this should be done on sunny days.
