2. Per ox per day, use 250 g of okara (tofu dregs), 50 g each of rice bran and wheat bran, and 10 g each of fishmeal and salt, mix evenly, and feed before grazing in the morning, continuously for 2-3 weeks, with remarkable results.

3. Use 100 g each of soybeans and corn, add water and grind them into a paste, then add 250 g of rice bran and an appropriate amount of salt, mix well, and feed once daily after the working ox finishes grazing, continuously for 1 week.

4. Wrap 100 g of cooked soybeans in rice straw and feed to the ox, once each in the morning and evening, letting it chew thoroughly, and keep plenty of clean drinking water available, continuously for 3-4 weeks.

5. Use 2 kg of glutinous rice and 3 kg of turmeric, cook them, then mix evenly with 200 mL of baijiu (white liquor) of 40 degrees or higher, divide into 3-4 feedings, once every other day, continuously for 2 weeks.

6. Decoct 500 g of red dates (with stones removed) and 50 g of Angelica sinensis (dong quai) in water, strain off the residue, add 500 g of brown sugar and mix evenly, feed once daily, continuously for 1-2 weeks.

7. Use 500 g of barley kernels, add 5 kg of water, simmer over low heat until sticky, then take the liquid and let the ox drink it. Once daily, continuously for 2-3 weeks. The barley kernels can be boiled with water 2-4 times; for the last time, let the ox eat the water and barley kernels together.

8. Use 200 g of ginger (crushed), 500 g of brown sugar, and 100 g of dried tangerine peel, add 2.5 kg of water and boil, then administer by drenching after cooling, once a day, continuously for 1 week.

9. Use 250 g of brown sugar and 250 mL of baijiu (white liquor), administer by drenching once every night after feeding forage, continuously for 7-10 days, with remarkable results in dispelling cold and restoring condition.

10. Use 50 g of [active dry yeast], 20 g of salt, soak in warm water, then mix into 1 kg each of corn and sorghum, divide into two feedings, continuously for 1-2 weeks.

11. For working oxen that are especially weak and refuse to eat forage, first mix chicken gizzard lining (10-20 g per dose) into rice porridge and administer, twice a day, to strengthen the spleen and aid digestion. Generally after three days the working ox will feel hungry; at this point, feed cooked soybean powder mixed with an equal amount of corn powder, then gradually feed fine grass for 3 weeks and it will recover its condition.

12. For working oxen that refuse both forage and water, add a small amount of salt and sugar to the drinking water and let the working ox drink it. If the working ox still will not drink the salt-sugar water, grind soybeans and mung beans into powder and let the working ox eat them, then let it drink some millet porridge; once its water intake begins to increase, it can be fed tender green grass, letting it gradually increase its feed intake. As long as it is cared for attentively, generally within two months it can be fed like a normal ox and will quickly gain fat and recover its condition.
