Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Office of Science and Technology for Agricultural Development organized relevant experts at the Shanghai Xiangxin Pig Culture Exhibition Hall to conduct an acceptance review of the municipal "Four New" technology extension project "Early Piglet Weaning and Synchronized Farrowing." This project is both a "Four New" agricultural science and technology project and a supporting technology for the main promoted technology of the pig science and technology household program, "Sow Reproduction." It was launched in 2005 by Shanghai Xiangxin Livestock and Poultry Co., Ltd., with collaborative completion by the Nanhui District Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center, and the project lasted two years.

The expert acceptance panel unanimously agreed that the project was tightly organized, with detailed and credible data, strong extension efforts, and obvious results, and that it has high extension value. In particular, the sow "synchronized farrowing technology" is a prerequisite technology and necessary condition for large-scale pig farms to achieve "all-in, all-out, balanced production," and is of great significance for improving resource utilization, reducing labor intensity, and controlling disease occurrence.
