I. Disinfection of the Floor The floor of the rabbit hutch is an important part of the hutch's micro-environment and is also the place where rabbits excrete droppings, so floor disinfection is very important. Droppings should be cleaned up promptly every day, quicklime can be spread on the floor, and the rabbit hutch should always be kept ventilated, dry, clean and hygienic. Regularly spray disinfectant drugs such as Lysol solution or 20% caustic soda solution. II. Regularly spray disinfectant drugs such as Lysol solution or 20% caustic soda solution.

II. Disinfection of the Rabbit Hutch 2 to 3 days before introducing breeding rabbits, the rabbit hutch should be thoroughly disinfected. Fumigation disinfection is generally used, that is, take 25 grams of potassium permanganate and 70 to 100 milliliters of formaldehyde solution; when the two are mixed, a violent reaction occurs, and the formaldehyde gas volatilized into the air has a strong sterilizing and disinfecting effect. Fumigation disinfection should be carried out continuously 2 to 3 times, and stopped 12 hours before introducing breeding rabbits. If conditions permit, an ultraviolet lamp can be installed in the rabbit hutch. Ultraviolet light has a strong sterilizing and disinfecting effect and can be irradiated continuously for 5 to 6 hours, then stopped for 12 hours; repeated use gives better results.

III. Disinfection of Cages and Equipment (1) General disinfection (referring to disinfection with rabbits present during the use of cages and equipment). According to the instructions for use, prepare a solution of Baidusha or Shuiyijing etc. in a certain proportion, and spray and disinfect the cages and equipment, generally once every 3 days. (2) Thorough disinfection (referring to disinfection of the whole hutch before introducing breeding rabbits or disinfection without rabbits present after removing the rabbits from the cages). According to the instructions for use, use disinfectant liquids with relatively strong sterilizing power, such as Lysol, formaldehyde, caustic soda, etc., but note that after disinfection, 2 to 3 days must pass before putting rabbits in. A blowtorch flame can also be used for disinfection; the flame should reach every part of the cages and equipment, and rabbits can be put in several hours after flame disinfection. Thorough disinfection is generally done once a month.

IV. Disinfection of Water and Food Boxes Generally disinfect once a week. Remove the water and food boxes from the cages and equipment, gather them together, wash them clean with clean water, put them into the prepared disinfectant liquid and soak for 30 minutes, then wash again and dry before use.

V. Disinfection of Kindling Boxes For used kindling boxes, first dump out the bedding material inside, then rinse them clean with clean water; after drying, expose them to strong sunlight for 5 to 6 hours. In winter, they can be irradiated with an ultraviolet lamp for 5 to 6 hours, then spray-disinfected with disinfectant liquid before being set aside for use.
