They are the heaviest species in the @#@257@#@ family, belonging to the large rock mountain genus of scorpions. The enclosure space should not be too small or too crowded; one large pet terrarium per scorpion is enough. The substrate can be reptile sand or freshwater sand, but to stay close to their original living environment, choose small gravel instead. Placing a piece of aged wood beside it works well. Insert one third of the aged wood into the soil and gravel, leaving the part with many holes exposed for them to hide in. Although the environment of their original habitat is dry, a water dish is still needed, mainly to regulate the humidity level inside the enclosure.
