What technical points must be mastered for polyculture of fish, shrimp, ricefield eel, loach, crab, and crayfish?
1. Pond selection. The pond is nearly square, with surrounding ditches 8 m wide and 0.6 m-0.8 m deep, the beach surface can be raised with water to 1.2 m, the pond bottom is sandy soil, the water source and water quality are good, and water inlet and drainage facilities are complete. On the inner side of the pond, fine-mesh polyethylene netting is buried in the soil to prevent ricefield eels, loaches, red swamp crayfish, crabs, etc. from burrowing. Asbestos tiles are used as an escape-prevention wall. The pond must be strictly disinfected with quicklime and other drugs, sufficient base fertilizer applied, natural feed cultivated, and aquatic plants such as tarragon and tape grass planted. Around Qingming, a large amount of live river snails are put in and allowed to reproduce naturally.
2. Seedstock and fingerlings. After pond clearing, stock about 200 kg of gibel carp fingerlings at about 20 fish per kg, equivalent to 4.3 kg per mu. In the middle and later stages, because the aquatic plants grow too luxuriantly, stock grass carp to control the aquatic plants.
Freshwater shrimp: after pond clearing, juvenile shrimp can be stocked, 3 kg-5 kg per mu, or around April, stock 25 kg of berried parent shrimp at about 80 shrimp per kg, averaging 0.5 kg per mu.
River crab: before May, stock 80,000-90,000 early-bred "button crabs" at about 1,000 crabs per kg, equivalent to about 1,800 crabs per mu.
3. Feeding and management. A simulated natural ecological farming method is adopted, using cheap fertilizer (chicken manure) and river snails to cultivate and reproduce natural feed for the cultured species to forage freely, with artificial feeding only as a supplement. Over the whole period, a total of 1,500 kg of soybean cake, 1,000 kg of wheat bran, 1,000 kg of rice bran, and 2,000 kg of feed such as small weeds are fed. Feeding and fertilizing can be flexibly controlled according to weather, water quality, the amount of natural feed, the stock in the pond of the cultured species, and the growing season. Patrol the pond once in the morning and once in the evening every day, and add water at any time to increase oxygen according to water quality, weather, and floating-head conditions. Under normal conditions, add water once a week, generally 20 cm-30 cm, to keep dissolved oxygen sufficient, the water level relatively stable, transparency at about 35 cm, and water quality meeting the requirements of "fertile, lively, tender, and refreshing."
4. Disease prevention. Throughout the entire farming process, before stocking, fish fingerlings are soaked in 3% salt water for 10 minutes, and when shrimp and crab seedstock are stocked, they are bathed in 50 mg/L potassium permanganate for two to three minutes. Feeding platforms, tools, etc. are frequently disinfected with bleaching powder.
5. Harvesting. @#@236@#@, @#@237@#@, freshwater shrimp, and red swamp crayfish are caught year-round with ground cages set out, using the method of catching large ones and leaving small ones. As long as they reach market size, they must be caught @#@136@#@.
