What are the common methods for scorpion farming?
In many people's minds, scorpions have always been a kind of venomous creature, but in fact, as things have developed up to now, some scorpions have already been enjoyed as a delicacy, and they are quite popular too. Add to that the fact that scorpions have long been used as medicinal material, and it is fair to say that scorpions still have a decent market at present. So what are the suitable methods for farming scorpions?

1. Farming pool culture
Building farming pools for large-scale farming is currently the mainstream method. Its advantages are that you can build them according to your own needs and that they are easy to manage. Out of consideration for profit, when maximizing profit, the scorpion pools are all small in size, so that more of them can be built. Pools built with bricks are basically squares of around 1 m, which effectively reduces the interference of light on the scorpions. The middle is filled with materials such as porous bricks and tiles, with the gaps left relatively large so that the scorpions have more living space. Whether to seal the top with mesh screen is chosen according to the situation.
2. Natural culture
Naturalized farming has shown an upward trend in recent years, because the demand in this area keeps increasing. In the wild, choose a quiet, dark place, then build a wall with a height of around 80 cm, and seal the bottom solid with cement, leaving no gaps. Clear away some of the space-taking things in the middle, then build a specially made brick pile with many gaps, cover the outside with tiles to block sunlight, and just leave a large number of gaps. Then clear out a dedicated feeding area and block the sunlight, and it is basically done.
3. Wooden rack culture
The wooden rack farming method is a way that some farmers came up with in order to make better use of space. Build a wooden rack, place wooden boxes in the middle, leave mesh holes and feeding openings in each box, and the top can be opened flexibly. The bottom of the wooden boxes is covered with the commonly used bedding for farming scorpions. You can choose to place some items such as tiles, or you can leave them out. With this farming method, food should be given in multiple small amounts, so as to avoid a large amount of leftover food. You also need to regularly check the leftover food inside. Therefore, the mesh holes must make it convenient to observe the entire box.
4. Ceramic vat culture
Vat culture is a relatively ancient farming method. Generally, only relatively special varieties adopt this kind of farming method, though there are also legends that scorpions raised this way have higher output. Place the vat flat on the ground, with a large opening to make later harvesting convenient, check whether there are gaps, and just patch the gaps. The bottom of the vat needs to be filled with about 5 cm of soil, which should be on the drier side, then place specially made bricks, sponge and similar items as filler, arranged in a gentle slope to make it convenient for the scorpions to climb, with the lowest point about 30 cm from the vat opening. Seal the vat opening with fine-mesh netting to allow ventilation. Place the vat in a relatively dim environment.
The above are several methods for farming scorpions. Friends who are interested can refer to them. When farming this kind of venomous creature, pay attention to safety, and always wear gloves when feeding them daily.
