Farming Methods for Quail at Different Growth Stages
You are probably familiar with the term quail, especially quail eggs, which are among the more popular health-giving eggs on the market today. There are now more and more artificially raised quail, and they are quite simple to keep, but the rearing methods for quail differ to a certain extent depending on the stage, and many people are surely unaware of this. Today, let's follow the editor and take a closer look.

1. Chick quail
Chick quail are quail that have just hatched, have not yet adapted to the external environment, and whose nervous system and various physiological functions are not yet fully developed. At this stage the quail are very weak, and if rearing and management are not done properly, the mortality rate is extremely high. First of all, we need to do a good job of keeping them warm; the temperature in the rearing house should generally be kept at a high temperature of 35 to 38 degrees, and after that day, it can be lowered by half a degree each day, stopping the cooling once the temperature drops to 25 degrees. Quail generally need to be given a supplement within 24 hours after hatching, and they begin feeding after drinking water. During this period they should be fed at least six to eight times a day, and water must not be withheld, ensuring there is plenty of water in the rearing room. Finally, you also need to pay attention to the lighting time in the rearing room, which should generally reach at least about 14 hours, so fluorescent lamps are needed for illumination.
2. Young quail
When chick quail transition into young quail, they go through a molt. At this stage the quail's physiological functions, digestive system and other aspects gradually recover, so the main task of this stage is to control the quail's body weight and do a good job of immunization. At this point the lighting duration in the rearing room can be reduced to about 12 hours, and a small amount of green feed can also be given, mainly coarse feed; but if they are meat quail to be sold, then fine feed should be the main choice, used for fattening.
3. Adult quail
Adult quail have already matured in all abilities, and what we need to do is fatten them, or rather get them quickly into the laying period. And while improving the quail's immunity, increase the quail's laying rate; at this point our rearing has basically become routine. Feeding about three to four times a day is generally enough; do the epidemic prevention work, clean up the hygiene in the rearing room, and carry out regular disinfection. At night, if necessary, supplementary feeding is also needed, which can quickly fatten the quail.
4. Quail in the laying period
The grouping management of quail during the laying period differs somewhat from the earlier grouping. We need to reasonably control the number of male and female quail, so as not to disrupt their reproductive capacity. During this period, our main goal is to produce high-quality eggs and increase the yield of quail eggs. So we need to reasonably formulate the feed according to this characteristic; the daily feeding standard at this time is to add new feed about four to five times a day. The feed troughs and water troughs must be cleaned every day, and the temperature in the rearing room should be controlled between 15 and 30 degrees. During the laying period, the lighting duration in the rearing room should reach about 15 to 16 hours. Also, no other creatures may appear and startle them, so as not to affect egg laying.
Raising quail is very simple, but when raising them we need to raise them according to different growth stages, so that the quail raised can be high-yielding and high-quality. I believe everyone now has a rough understanding of quail raising; if you have even better techniques for raising quail at different stages, you can find the editor and share them together.
