Precautions for scorpion farming

We all know that the scorpion is a venomous creature, but at the same time it is also a very expensive medicinal material with extremely high medicinal value. In addition, the scorpion's nutritional value is also relatively high. It has effects such as detoxification and pain relief, which is what people often call fighting poison with poison. It can also treat liver cancer, intestinal cancer and so on, bringing great benefits to the human body. However, scorpion farming is not that simple. Below are some precautions about scorpion farming that the editor has brought to everyone, hoping to help you.

1. Environment

Although the scorpion is a venomous creature, that does not mean it can survive in any random environment. It is very afraid of light, so in some TV plots we see scorpions appear in dark places. Therefore, when building a farm, we should mainly choose a place where the light is not very strong. Next, drainage must be good. Also, scorpions are easily startled, so they should be farmed in a relatively quiet place, otherwise the scorpions will be frightened away. If a female scorpion is startled while laying eggs, it will directly stop laying. Therefore, the farming environment must be properly arranged.

2. Temperature

Scorpions have very strict temperature requirements. The temperature suitable for scorpion growth is usually around 20 to 25 degrees, but the temperature for scorpion farming is very difficult to control, especially the smaller the farming site, the harder the temperature is to manage. Most scorpion farms today still manage temperature through stoves, but heating with a stove requires a process, so usually when building a farm we build two stoves for reasonable temperature control, so that the temperature can be maintained within the same range.

3. Humidity

Many friends who raise scorpions often overlook the humidity issue of the farm, especially in southern China, where the humidity throughout the year is relatively high. Although many experts say that the farming room just needs high temperature and high humidity, so that scorpions grow faster, in fact there is a certain gap from reality. Usually, the humidity in the farm is best kept at around 50 percent. If humidity management is neglected, scorpions will develop many diseases.

4. Density

Farming density can generally affect the success of scorpion farming. Many people think that the more they raise, the more money they can make, but that is actually not the case. The scorpion is an animal with relatively strong aggression. If the farming density is too high, even if you feed enough feed, fighting problems will still occur and cause the scorpions to be injured. It is best to control the farming density so that each scorpion still has at least a certain range of activity.

5. Feed

Scorpions have relatively high requirements for feed. If young scorpions do not get enough nutrition, malnutrition will occur and their growth rate will be extremely slow, while malnutrition in adult female scorpions will affect egg laying. The feed is mainly other insects, supplemented by specially formulated feed for scorpion growth. At the same time, pay attention to the feeding time, feeding amount and feeding frequency. Generally speaking, feed three to four times a day, and each feeding amount must be enough for the scorpions to eat their fill, with feeding carried out in the morning, noon and evening each day.

6. Management

For scorpion management, the first thing to pay attention to is preventing the scorpions from escaping, so we must take anti-escape protective measures in the farm. Next, pay attention to the sanitary environment in the farm and carry out sanitary cleaning irregularly. Also, maintain air circulation in the farm. Finally, scorpions also have many pests and diseases, so they should be given vaccine management from time to time.
