How to Identify a Pregnant Scorpion? Master These Methods to Tell with Ease

In the early stage after mating, it is quite difficult to tell whether a female scorpion is pregnant by direct observation. Some time after mating, however, as long as you pay close attention, you can spot one characteristic: when the female scorpion comes into contact with a male scorpion, she quickly avoids him, and even if the male catches up with her, she refuses to mate. This indicates that the female scorpion is already pregnant.
Some female scorpions are still willing to perform the "mating dance" with male scorpions after their first mating; this may be a repeat mating, or it may mean they are not actually pregnant. Only after several months, when the embryos develop following fertilization and the female scorpion's front abdomen gradually swells, does it become relatively easy to identify.
