Quail Feed Formula

The main feeds in quail feed formulas include corn, soybean cake, fish meal, wheat bran, and rice bran. Adult quails can be given some green feed. For young quail feed, add 10 grams of vitamins per kilogram. The protein content for young quails should be 20-25%, for fattening quails it should be 18-19%, and for laying quails it should be 23-24%. The digestible energy contained should be 11.3 to 1206 megajoules per kilogram of feed. Let's take a look together below!

Growing Period Feed Formula

The growing period feed formula for quails: to reduce the amount of corn, you can add 5% sorghum and 10% whole wheat flour, adjusting corn to 41.16%, soybean meal to 9.66%, and wheat bran to 0.19%. Or add 10% sorghum and 30% broken rice, then adjust corn to 13.91%, soybean meal to 9.06%, and wheat bran to 4.19%. To reduce the amount of soybean protein feed, you can add 7.19% corn protein powder, adjusting soybean flour to 6.15%, soybean meal to 9.5%, and corn to 57.28%. If using soybean flour, then adjust corn to 54.18%, soybean meal to 24.15%, and add 3.71% fat. To reduce the amount of imported fish meal, you can add an appropriate amount of meat and bone meal. The adjustment ratio is: for every 1% reduction in fish meal, add 1.29% meat and bone meal, while simultaneously reducing bone meal by 0.26% and wheat bran by 0.21%, and increasing corn by 0.18%. If you add 10% sorghum, 10% corn protein powder, and 5.16% meat and bone meal, then adjust corn to 48.47%, soybean flour to 6.15%, soybean meal to 5.99%, wheat bran to 2.58%, and imported fish meal to 3.35%, and remove bone meal and calcium carbonate. Because the amino acid content of meat and bone meal is lower than that of fish meal, 0.04% methionine needs to be added.

Laying Period Feed Formula

The laying period feed formula for quails: to reduce the amount of corn, you can simultaneously add 10% sorghum and 20% broken rice, adjusting corn to 27.56%, soybean meal to 10.91%, and wheat bran to 0.65%. To reduce the amount of soybeans and soybean meal, you can add 6% meat and bone meal and 6% peanut kernel cake, adjusting soybean flour to 7.86%, soybean flour to 5.67%, corn to 63.14%, wheat bran to 0.17%, and bone meal to 0.53%. If you simultaneously add 10% sorghum and 6% meat and bone meal, then adjust corn to 48.78%, soybean meal to 3.79%, wheat bran to 2.41%, and bone meal to 0.53%.

Breeding Period Feed Formula

The breeding period feed formula for quails: to reduce the amount of corn, you can add 10% sorghum and 10% whole wheat flour, adjusting corn to 26.74%, soybean meal to 11.69%, and wheat bran to 4.64%.

Quail Feeding Methods

1. Dry feeding method: Mix compound feed, additives, etc. evenly and place in the feed trough. This feeding method saves labor and time, and the feed does not spoil.

2. Wet feeding method: Mix compound feed with green feed, water, etc. into a loose wet feed and feed it. This method has good palatability, is convenient for eating, and can fully utilize local agricultural by-products, but it spoils easily in summer, and the feed trough needs to be washed frequently.

3. Combined dry and wet feeding method: A method that combines the advantages of the above two methods and makes up for their shortcomings, but the feed trough must be sufficient, otherwise fighting over food will occur.
