Tilapia disease prevention and treatment plans

Tilapia disease prevention and treatment focuses on prevention, mainly by strictly controlling stocking density, regulating aquaculture water quality, feeding comprehensive and fresh feed, and regularly sampling fish for surface and anatomical examinations. Once a fish disease is found, it should be treated promptly.

1. Thoroughly clear the pond and disinfect it.

2. Strictly disinfect fry and fingerlings before they enter the pond.

3. After the fry and fingerlings are stocked in the pond, splash the entire pond once with 1 g/cubic meter of 90% trichlorfon crystals. Half a month later, splash once with 1-2 g/cubic meter of bleaching powder (28% effective chlorine).

4. Keep the water quality fertile, lively, tender, and fresh, and slightly alkaline.

5. Dead fish should be promptly removed, disinfected, and buried in the soil.

6. Tools used in diseased fish ponds must be soaked and disinfected, and the water from diseased fish ponds must not be discharged arbitrarily without disinfection.
