On both sides of the North Atlantic it generally lives near the bottom, ranging from coastal waters to the deep sea, and is native to the cold waters of the North Atlantic from Northern Europe to Canada and the eastern United States. In China it is mainly distributed in the Bohai Sea, the Yellow Sea and the northern East China Sea, with major fishing grounds in the northern Yellow Sea, east-southeast of Shandong Gaokou, and the southern and southeastern sea areas of Marine Island.

2. Enhancing immunity: Cod can increase the concentration of serum immunoglobulin and strengthen the clearance and phagocytic defense functions of the respiratory tract, thereby enhancing the disease resistance of the body and the respiratory system.

3. Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory: The nutrients in cod can significantly improve the resistance of the nasal mucosa and strengthen the constitution of patients with rhinitis, so it can reduce the onset of inflammation such as rhinitis and relieve rhinitis symptoms.

4. Regulating blood lipids: The vitamin A and vitamin D contained in cod can lower the concentration of low-density lipoprotein in the blood and raise the concentration of high-density lipoprotein, thus regulating blood lipids.
