What are the common types of spider plants?

There are many types of spider plants, each with different forms and their own characteristics. There are five common ones: spider plant, purple spider plant, flower spider plant, golden-leaf spider plant, and silver-edged spider plant.
Spider plant
The stems and leaves are indistinguishable, the leaves droop, and the leaves are dark green. It blooms in June and July each year, with flowers in two colors: pale yellow and white.
Purple spider plant
The stems are jointed, with leaves growing from each joint. The leaf stalks are entirely purplish red, and the leaves are thick and glossy, all drooping downward. It blooms from June to October each year, with pink flowers.
Flower spider plant
The stems are trailing, with branches and leaves drooping. The leaves are peach-shaped, with golden patterns along the leaf margins that extend through the center of the leaf veins. The underside of the leaves is purple and glossy.
Golden-edged spider plant
The green leaves have yellow lines running around the leaf margins, making a particularly attractive contrast.
Silver-edged spider plant
The green leaves are edged in white, making them even more vivid and distinctive to look at.
