How do you care for a ball cactus so it blooms? A full breakdown of care methods

A ball cactus is generally grown for 3-4 years, and when the ball diameter reaches 3-4 cm it should be able to bloom. To get a ball cactus to bloom, pay attention to the following points.
Sunlight
Ball cacti need plenty of sunlight. If a ball cactus is kept indoors for a long time and lacks sunlight, it will not bloom.
Temperature
Ball cacti need relatively warm environmental conditions. If the ambient temperature does not reach above 20 degrees, they cannot bloom.
Watering
Never water too much, and do not let the potting soil get too wet; it is better to keep it dry than wet. Especially during the dormant periods in winter and summer, watering should be restricted even more.
Fertilizing
Although ball cacti tolerate poor soil and drought, they are not easy to bloom when they are both dry and short of fertilizer. Therefore, during cultivation, give appropriate water and fertilizer; during the growing season, apply a dilute, fully rotted cake fertilizer once every 10 days to half a month. Do not over-fertilize either, as over-fertilizing can also lead to no blooming.
Microenvironment
Pay attention to creating a local environment with suitable temperature and high humidity for the ball cactus, such as making a closed frame with plastic film on a windowsill and placing the ball cactus inside it for care. This not only makes it grow faster, but also gives it brighter coloration and makes it easier to bloom.
