Sow calla lily seeds immediately after they mature. In spring, choose a warm, humid, sunny open area with loose, fertile soil for spot sowing, cover with a thin layer of soil, and keep it moist at all times. When the seedlings grow to 10 to 20 cm tall, transplant them separately.

After flowering in summer, in combination with repotting, separate the sprouting buds and divide the small corms growing around the old corms for planting. By winter they will bloom and set seed. When dividing and repotting, plant 1 to several corms per pot according to corm size.

For the potting soil, use 1 part leaf mold, 2 parts garden soil, and add an appropriate amount of decomposed cow manure and superphosphate. After planting, do not water for the time being; place in a shady, humid spot. After sprouting, gradually increase the amount of watering. When the new leaves reach more than 10 cm tall, fertilize once every 15 days. Keep the optimal growth temperature at 13°C. If you want earlier flowering, you can raise the temperature to 15°C. After the first flowering, repot with fresh soil, place in a cool, semi-shaded spot, and after growth resumes, raise the temperature to encourage a second flowering. In summer, calla lilies should be placed in a semi-shaded spot, and in cold weather placed in a sunny spot. When the leaves turn yellow and the plant enters dormancy, place it in a dry, ventilated spot and do not let water accumulate, otherwise the corms rot easily.
