Jasmine blooms many times and has a high nutrient demand. The fertilization principle is to combine base fertilizer with topdressing, with topdressing mainly using quick-acting fertilizers; combine inorganic fertilizers with organic fertilizers, using decomposed organic fertilizer; and combine the three major elements nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, with nitrogen fertilizer as the main component.

For field planting, the base fertilizer can use compost, cake fertilizer, manure, fish offal fertilizer, or spent mushroom substrate, applied together with the first early-spring weeding. The method is to first crush the cake fertilizer and mix it into human feces and urine, then after decomposition add 10-20% superphosphate or phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer and apply it in holes or strips, with 5-7 topdressings throughout the year. During each flowering period, apply once before the buds appear and once at flowering, and stop fertilizing after September.

For pot planting, the base fertilizer should be good and loose and fertile, such as soybean cake, tea seed cake, livestock and poultry manure, fishy water, and bone meal, which must be used after fermentation. Apply topdressing according to the different growth stages of the plant, following the principle of light and frequent application.

When fertilizing jasmine, note the following points: after mid-April, apply decomposed liquid fertilizer every 2-3 days at a concentration of 10% to promote growth; when flower buds are forming and the first batch of spring flowers begins to open, apply an additional liquid fertilizer made from chicken and duck manure at a concentration of 15%; when the first batch of flowers is about to finish blooming, apply once 20-30% concentrated manure water or superphosphate and calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer; from after the first batch of flowers to before the second batch, water with 10% dilute liquid fertilizer every 4-5 days, and after the second batch of flowers opens, fertilize as required after the first batch of flowers; after the third batch of flowers, as temperatures gradually drop, the number of fertilizations should also decrease, generally applying a mixed nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer (3:1:1) once a week; after Frost's Descent, move the pots indoors, and generally no fertilization is needed.
