Do you know truffles? This is a highly valuable nutritious product, so what kind of effects does it have? There is news that a new brand has been successfully cultivated, and it may appear on dining tables afterward. Is this true? The general market price of truffles is between 200 and 500.

Effects and benefits: It is rich in protein, 18 kinds of amino acids, multiple vitamins and other essential trace elements, and has extremely high nutritional and health care value. Androsterone has significant effects in supporting yang and regulating the endocrine system; sphingolipid compounds have obvious activity in preventing Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerosis, and anti-tumor cytotoxicity; polysaccharides, polypeptides, and triterpenes have effects such as enhancing immunity, anti-aging, and anti-fatigue, and so on. The existence of these rare natural compounds constitutes the material basis for the miraculous effects of black truffles.

The Deep-vein truffle gets its name because its spores are deeply buried in the fruiting body. It has a strong aroma, and the diameter of the fruiting body can reach 3 cm, making it more economically valuable than the "spruce truffle," which is also a white truffle but has a fruiting body of only 0.2 to 1.5 cm. Therefore, after the discovery of the "Deep-vein truffle" in 2017, in addition to coordinating with the NTU Experimental Forest forest management office for habitat management and monitoring, spores were also taken from dried fruiting bodies in the laboratory for solid-state and liquid-state cultivation methods, hoping that in the future fungal strains can be used for seedling inoculation experiments to accelerate the marketization speed of the "Deep-vein truffle."

Looking back at the history of truffle discovery in Taiwan, China, black truffles were first discovered in 1987 at Dongpu Mountain in Nantou, and in 1989 Professor Hu Hung-tao of the Department of Forestry at National Taiwan University established Asia's first artificial truffle afforestation site at the NTU Experimental Forest and other places. Afterward, Professor Hu Hung-tao and Fu Chun-hsu, associate researcher in the Forest Protection Division of the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute, successively discovered local black truffle varieties "Taiwan truffle" and "scrap truffle," as well as two new local white truffle varieties, "spruce truffle" and "Deep-vein truffle." In 2014, National Ilan University and the Yilan County Government carried out a black truffle experimental project at Sinan Platform in Datong Township. At present, 90% of the mycorrhizal seedlings have been successfully inoculated, and it is believed that more and more local truffles will appear on dining tables in the future.
