What is fast-growing eucalyptus? Please explain

Eucalyptus is the general term for tree species in the genus Eucalyptus [EucalytusSPP.] of the family Myrtaceae. It is one of the world's three famous fast-growing tree species and also one of the world's most valuable hardwood broadleaf timbers. Native to Australia, there are more than 1,000 eucalyptus varieties worldwide, more than 300 of which have been introduced and cultivated in China. Improved eucalyptus varieties that have been promoted for planting include U6 (Eucalyptus urophylla No. 6), W5 (Eucalyptus congolensis No. 12), DH32-22, DH201-2, DH19-6 (hybrid eucalyptus Donghai clone), LH1 (Leilin No. 1), SH1 (Shiling No. 1), and others. The above tree species have been introduced and cultivated in more than 100 countries worldwide, all showing excellent traits such as strong adaptability, fast growth, good fast-growing and high-yield performance, high output, and short cycles. They are usually harvested in 6-8 years, and after one planting, 2-3 harvests can be made. They are one of the best tree species for cultivating short-rotation industrial raw material forests, and are also excellent tree species for roadside greening and coastal shelterbelts.

Most eucalyptus tree species are light-loving and afraid of cold, and can only grow well on mountain red soil, yellow-red soil, and loamy soil that is deep, loose, fertile, and well-drained.
