The harm of peony powdery mildew:White powdery mold spots appear on the leaves, often expanding and joining together into patches, and can even cover the entire plant's leaves and stems, causing premature aging or death of the plant.

Prevention and control methods for peony powdery mildew:

1. Strengthen cultivation management. Do not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer; appropriately increase potassium and calcium fertilizers to strengthen plant growth and improve disease resistance. Prune and shape the plant in a timely manner, remove diseased shoots and diseased leaves, and improve ventilation and light penetration between plants. When grown indoors in pots, place in a well-ventilated spot with ample light.
In winter, control indoor temperature and humidity, and pay attention to ventilation at night. Before moving into a greenhouse (or cold cellar) in late autumn and early winter, inspect carefully, and immediately cut off and burn any diseased leaves and diseased shoots found, so as to avoid bringing them indoors and spreading the disease.

2. Chemical control. In the early stage of powdery mildew, spray with Bijunsha at 1000-1500 times dilution, 15% triadimefon wettable powder at 1000 times dilution, or 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder at 1000 times dilution; all have good control effects. The residual effect period of triadimefon can reach 20-25 days. After spraying, the white layer on the diseased parts turns dark gray, shrinks, and disappears.
