How should you water aloe when growing it? What else should you pay attention to normally? Please give an introductionAloe, in all its varied forms, is a perennial evergreen herbaceous plant that is deeply loved by people. Many flower enthusiasts report that during the process of growing aloe, the leaves often turn yellow and withered, starting from the lowest layer of leaves, first from the leaf tip, then slowly spreading to the entire leaf surface, affecting its ornamental value. Aloe, like cactus, is a plant with strong drought resistance. When growing it, measures should be taken according to the causes of leaf yellowing to prevent and completely solve the problem early.
Watering aloe:Aloe is relatively drought-resistant, so watering should be moderate. Do not water frequently, but after the soil dries out for a period of time, water thoroughly once. When the weather is relatively dry or during continuous rainy weather, spray "Xin Gao Zhi Mo" to effectively prevent water transpiration, resist drought and retain moisture; reduce the adverse effects of waterlogging on aloe, so that the root system can breathe well.
Insufficient fertility:Generally, use half leaf mold and half coarse sand, then mix in some decomposed horse manure or dried manure; chicken and duck manure is even better. Usually no fertilizer is needed; during the growing season, 2-3 applications of decomposed dilute liquid fertilizer can be given, or rice-washing water can be used for better growth. Do not apply overly concentrated fertilizer. Do not fertilize during the dog days to avoid root rot.
In addition, the main diseases of aloe include brown spot disease, anthracnose, leaf blight, and southern blight. The first three harm the leaves, while the latter harms the whole plant. All these diseases occur in hot and rainy seasons. For prevention, increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, spray "Xin Gao Zhi Mo" and Bordeaux mixture; for control, spray carbendazim, chlorothalonil, or thiophanate-methyl.
