The harm of lucky bamboo leaf blight:

Lucky bamboo showing scorched and withered leaf tips means it has been infected with lucky bamboo leaf tip blight.

Leaf blight mainly harms the middle and lower leaves of lucky bamboo. When the disease occurs, the lesion spreads inward from the tip, the lesion turns grass-yellow and appears sunken, and there is a brown line at the boundary between diseased and healthy tissue. In the later stage, small black granules appear on the diseased part.

Lucky bamboo leaves often die from infection with this disease, but the middle leaves only have withered leaf tips. The pathogen of this disease often survives on leaves or on diseased leaves that fall to the ground, and the disease is likely to occur when there is a lot of rain.

Control methods for lucky bamboo leaf blight:

Method 1: When a small number of diseased leaves appear, promptly prune them off and burn them.

Method 2: In the early stage of the disease, spray with 1:1:100 Bordeaux mixture, or spray with 53.8% Kocide dry flowable 1000-fold solution, or spray the plant with 10% Score water-dispersible granules 3000-fold solution.

Method 3: If a small number of diseased leaves appear in the home, after cutting off the withered and dead parts of the leaves, apply Daktarin cream ointment to both the front and back sides of the cut surface, which can effectively prevent the reappearance or spread of the lesion.
