Why do the leaves of hydroponic lucky bamboo turn yellow? What causes it? How do you fix it? We ask fellow gardeners for guidanceWhen hydroponic lucky bamboo develops yellow leaves, you can track down the cause using the following methods:
Method 1: Check the water quality:
Mainly check whether the roots are fresh. If poor water quality has caused the roots to rot, switch to cooled boiled water.
Method 2: Check the environmental conditions of the spot where it is placed:
If the light is too dim, the spot is stuffy and poorly ventilated, or the air is dry, the leaves will turn yellow; but if the spot where it is placed gets too much light, the leaves will likewise turn yellow and lose their luster.
How to fix yellow leaves on hydroponic lucky bamboo:
1. If the cause is light, first cut off the yellow leaves, and cut off any rotten roots as well, then create for it a clean, suitably warm, cool, humid environment with good indirect light.
2. If the root rot is caused by unclean water, first cut off the yellow leaves. If the symptoms are not serious, change the water often and place it in a ventilated spot with fairly abundant sunlight for restorative care; if the symptoms are serious, spray an appropriate pesticide or add a small amount of fungicide to the water tray.
