Control methods for gardenia pests and diseases:
Method 1: Strengthen cultivation management, do a good job of clearing the garden, reduce sources of pests and diseases, promptly remove diseased branches and leaves, eradicate weeds in the garden, and burn or deeply bury them in a centralized manner to reduce sources of infection. Prune in a timely manner, improve the ventilation and light penetration of the tree body, and enhance tree vigor. Pay attention to drainage during the rainy season to lower the groundwater level and field air humidity.
Method 2: For pest and disease control in winter and the two seasons, 0.3-0.5 degree Baume lime sulfur mixture can be used for spraying or painting on trees to kill overwintering pests and diseases.
For plants with chlorosis, 0.2-0.3% ferrous sulfate can be used for watering or spraying on leaves. For other diseases, at the early stage and during the disease period, the following agents can be applied alternately: 50% carbendazim 1000 times, 50% tuijunte 1000 times, 70% thiophanate-methyl 1000 times, with emphasis on spraying the middle and lower leaves of the plant.
For insect pests, spray just before the plant loses its leaves or before budding. The following agents can be used: malathion emulsifiable concentrate 600-800 times, 25% shachongjing, 24% scale insect quick kill, 40% supusha, etc.
